Hello. We’re Herd – a specialist consultancy focused on business analysis, delivery management, product management, and change and transformation. We help organisations make confident decisions and deliver meaningful business, digital and organisational change.
Proudly headquartered in Yorkshire, our team works across the UK, supporting Central Government departments, leading universities, national charities, building societies and commercial organisations.
Herd was built to do consultancy differently.
Between us, we’d worked with too many one-size-fits-all consultancies that prioritised frameworks, artefacts and process over meaningful outcomes. We believed there was a better way: a consultancy built around experienced specialists who are pragmatic, human-centred, low-ego and enjoyable to work alongside.
That philosophy shapes everything we do. We combine strategic thinking with guided pragmatism, working alongside our clients to bring clarity to complexity, challenge assumptions and help organisations make confident decisions. Rather than forcing organisations through rigid methodologies or predefined ways of working, we adapt our approach to your organisation, your people and your challenges.
Our leadership team reflects that same philosophy. Every leadership role is held by experienced digital practitioners and transformation leaders—not career account managers removed from delivery. And because we don’t have a software development arm or commercial software partnerships, our advice is always impartial, focused on solving problems rather than selling technology.
Everything we do is grounded in four simple principles: always leave things better than we found them; be led by experience and the Power of the Herd; focus on outcomes over outputs; and be the consultant you’d have loved to work with.

Do you work across the whole of the UK?
Yes, we operate across the whole of the United Kingdom and have also previously worked with clients based in the Channel Islands. For remote (or mainly remote engagements), we would be open to be working with clients based across Europe.
